Willie Sues in Sumter

Naimi was a great waitress. She was attentive to our needs without bothering us to death. I had my sister with me and we hadn't had time to talk in a while so having Naimi attentive but not overbearing was great. The food was delicious as always. We didn't realize that the fish was bone-in or we wouldn't have ordered it.

Had just gotten through eating was enjoying a glass of tea and one waitress came to our table on the porch and said she wasn’t being rude but they were setting up tables behind us for a big party and asked if we would be leaving soon so they could have our table! Why did you seat us out there if you needed the tables for somebody else. She kept saying she wasn’t being rude but we sure felt like we were being asked to leave.WOW!!!

As always, Willie Sue's does dinning with style and class. This time around with a live band, what's not to like.

This is 100% Average, the shots are measured to the drop and pricey. I read a review that said "they have a large variety of items, it would probably be best they concentrated on quality instead of quantity. I Agree

The staff is very polite and takes care of the customers. The food is delicious! The wait time is very short and the location is easy access. Great place to eat!

Service is top notch, prices seemed high until the food arrived, then they were more than reasonable. I had blackened chicken with a salad and baked potato with coffee. Cheque was more than reasonable for the food and quality of service.

It was as if we were watching the staff perform an orchestrated show! Very experienced and professional, amazingly warn atmosphere. Let's get to the food....we will now swing into Sumter just to eat here from now on when visiting the beach or family in the low country! A must visit Establishment!!

The Thai Shrimp Skewers with a loaded baked potato will keep you coming back for more! The shrimps are actually jumbo! My food is always served fresh and at the proper temperature. Now, they have a new croissant on the menu. I will be there today to try them out!!! In my humble opinion, the thyme red skin potatoes are lacking an ingredient. I think they would taste better with sautéed onions in them...onions and potatoes always pair well together...

Great bar service. I should have skipped the fried green tomatoes, they are hidden under the prawns. The blackened chicken had an exquisite flavor but a little over cooked. 5 star because the atmosphere and superb service. THE side salad is a plus, it comes with the softest croissant.

The food was delicious! My husband and I had the gator tail for an appetizer. I had the seafood grits and my husband had the club sandwich with ff. Our waitress, Brandy was really nice and helpful. The customer service was basic and the atmosphere was nice. I will return and I'd recommend this restaurant to others!!

It was a very good dinner. The owner tried so hard to get me granddaughter to talk to him but he couldn't break her not ever with the desserts he made her. Thank you so much for the wonderful night out.

Superior food at great prices. Looking for a place where you and your significant other can dine for the night? Even looking for a place to take the family to eat and enjoy the good eating environment this is the place to be. Food is very tasteful. Management seems to have it down to a science. If you are in town and looking for the best eats, well THIS is the place to be.

I've had their takeout once (Sandwich, Fries, Drink) and we ate in once. Both times the food was delicious. When we dined in, the Nacho's were very delicious. They also have a single serving Nacho on the lunch menu. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and you would feel out of place dressing up to eat here. I am looking forward to our next visit.

I reviewed this place elsewhere a year ago and really wanted it to be better. Unfortunately the food actually went down, not up. Service is typically good but the food really doesn't live up to the expectations of this nicer looking spot. If you want a beer at the bar with some locals, this is a great spot.

What a great place to have dinner! The atmosphere is great. The food is fabulous and the wait staff is wonderful! If you are not familiar with the restaurant, then you owe it to yourself to try it out. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Large menu. Could probably be better if they focused on perfecting a few items instead of many items that are only decent. Roast beef was fair and so was the stew. This is a good place if you have a group that likes varied options.

We recently moved into the area and our neighbors took us to eat here and the food is out of the world. The portions are large for the money and the dessert are large enough to feed 4 people. It was so nice eating in a establishment that makes their food from scratch and not frozen prepared recipes. The staff from the person who took our reservation over the phone, to hostess who sat us, our waitress and bus boy they put the hospitality in southern. You definitely would not be disappointed eating here. We shall be making this a must to go for special occasions and out of town guests when they visit.

Everything we've ever ordered was cooked to perfection. The wait staff are very friendly.

Willy Sue's has always been a favorite of mine. The 6oz Fillet was probably the best steak I've ever had. Perfectly seared, evenly cooked exactly how I ordered. So tender, and so flavorful.The Chocolate Pecan fudge cake creation was really good, but the Peach Cobbler was amazing!Service has always been great no matter the time of day.

Pretty average restaurant. Food is good but not spectacular. Service is fine - not bad, but not above/beyond. Nice bar.

Hubby had the seafood pasta & it was DELICIOUS! I had the club sandwich with baked potatoe soup. Very good! Portions and price were great! I Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

We had dinner here, parking lot was full on Friday night. Was fearful there would be a long wait but we were seated within 10 minutes! I had the whole fried flounder it was perfectly delicious. Salad yummy and fresh and croissant roll nice touch. Everyone else got steaks and said they were really good.

Food was amazing will get some again when back in the Carolina's. Would definitely recommend.

Wow wow wow amazing food and amazing staff

A must visit if your visiting the area. Hands down one of the best places to eat in Sumter!They have a good variety of steak ( like the Man Up Hoagie in the picture ) seafood, and amazing appetizers!A cozy environment and great waitstaff will be sure to set the tone and the bar for you and any competition Willie Sue's may have.

Ate here two nights running it was so good. Crabby cakes were my favorite, but the bacon appetizer was equally good.One night I enjoyed the seafood grits, which were delicious and almost too much food for one. The next night I had the scallops, which are also tasty and also left me stuffed.You can't go wrong.

The food was fantastic. Loved the addition of feta and bacon to the spinach artichoke dip. Our waitress Brittany was great too. Definitely will be going back. Would be 5 stars but felt that some of the items seemed a little overpriced.

Had my wife's birthday here with friends. The staff helped make this one of the best birthdays shes had. Thanks for a great time!

Service here was exemplary! Food was good and served quickly. Decor is lovely - the rustic beams create a lovely atmosphere. The food was good and plated well. I hate the shrimp and it was tender and cooked well. Can’t talk enough about the service. The servers smiled and looked like they enjoyed their jobs. Delicious! We will be back.

We ordered an appetizer combo with fried gator and fried mushroom. For main, we had ribs, raspberry salad and the grilled shrimp with grits.It’s our first time trying the gator and it tasted like chicken to us. The meat was put in a slightly salted breading, making the crispy meat good even without the sauce. In contrast, the mushroom was rather bland and goes better with the sauce.My friends who had the ribs recommended the house’s special sauce. The portion was huge so we had leftovers to take back. I had the raspberry salad and it was refreshing with a light sweet raspberry sauce. I enjoyed it a lot though the chicken breast was over cooked and very dry. The croissant that came with the salad was surprisingly good! It was lightly sweetened and was soft on the inside while crispy on the outside, served hot! Haven’t had such good ones in a while.The service was good so as the atmosphere. No complaints. The wait may be long as this place seems to be really popular for dinner.

Food was good but not great and not for the prices. Five slices of tomato that isn't cooked but slightly breaded along with five shrimps for $13.25 plus tax. Really? I can buy a bag of shrimp and three tomatoes for the same price, maybe more depending on where you go. Dont get me wrong it was good but this isn't a fine dining place. I can see if I was still in Charlotte but Sumter, this is a redneck restaurant out in the country charging ridiculous pricing.
